Professional Indemnity is our main policy, protecting you from the big issues freelancers like you encounter. Even if every client and project is different, one thing remains the same: you are your business, and you need to protect yourself.

So we also offer legal expenses, public liability and contents insurance as add-ons that pair nicely with your Professional Indemnity policy.

Professional Indemnity

For the daily freelance problems

Professional Indemnity is there to protect you from the common pitfalls that many freelancers encounter. That includes unpaid invoices (if your client refuses to pay and threatens to bring a claim against you, professional indemnity can cover the amount owed to you), work that doesn’t meet client expectations and if a client threatens legal action against you. Professional indemnity covers your defence costs associated with a claim, as well as compensation if your client claims to suffer a financial loss as a result of your work.

Legal Expenses

For unpaid invoices & sticky legal situations

It isn’t fun learning the hard way how much poorly worded contracts can make your life suck. So this insurance gives you access to a library of vetted legal documents and even a free 24/7 legal advice and tax helpline.

Legal expenses insurance also covers the cost of expert help from accountants, if you’re ever faced with an HMRC tax investigation. This can easily run into the thousands — but you’ll get it at no extra cost.

Perhaps most importantly, this policy also helps you to get paid on time. If a client isn’t paying their invoice, a solicitor will chase them on your behalf. No more empty threats and hand-me-down tactics from Reddit!
